National Assisted Living Week 2020 | Unveiling of the New Break Room
When we first started brainstorming ways to make National Assisted Living Week (NALW) special this year, our Executive Director, Breanne formulated an idea to make a special place for our incredible team members.
Breanne knew this year has been hard on our staff, and she wanted to ensure they felt seen and celebrated during this special week as well.
Breanne and Anne, Director of Life Enrichment, took it upon themselves to make this happen by transforming the former craft room into a new employee break room! They cleaned it out, painted, decorated, hung up inspiration sayings and truly made the room feel like a special oasis.
"I knew taking on this project would be a lot of work between the painting and prioritizing the time to get it done, but I had a vision and I really wanted to see it through. Seeing our team members' reactions to their new break room was absolutely worth it," said Breanne.
Each staff member was also given an "appreciation goody bag" and it was a wonderful week of appreciation, celebration and bonding at Light of Hearts Villa.
