Why do people choose Light of Hearts Villa over other facilities?
There are many senior living options out there, but what makes Light of Hearts Villa the right choice? LOHV has a respected reputation for providing outstanding premier senior services since 1989. Our foundation is built upon a mission to provide premier senior residential living and community outreach services. Through our faith-based values, we affirm the integrity of each person and encourage them on their journey of aging. Our caring and companionate staff (some who have been with us since our inception), are dedicated to the fullness of life that each and every resident deserves. Our Person-Centered care plan is designed specifically for you. With LOHV, you have options.
When and why was LOHV established?
LOHV welcomed its first residents September 1, 1989. LOHV is housed in the former Lumen Cordium High School building. Lumen Cordium (Latin for Light of Hearts) was an all-girls Catholic high school from 1963 to 1987. When school enrollment began declining in the mid 1980s, the Vincentian Sisters searched for those whose needs were not being met. The search resulted in the decision to serve seniors who could no longer live alone, but who did not require nursing home care. They transformed the high school building into an award-winning, senior residential living and community outreach services facility. LOHV includes 90 apartments, a large dining room, chapel, multiple gathering areas, spacious activity center and beautiful grounds.
Who sponsors LOHV?
