Why Your Gift Is Needed
Light of Hearts Villa is a nonprofit, charitable organization under 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Gifts may be made for general support, endowment, or designated for a specific program. There are many ways to help:
- Cash – a gift by check or credit card
- Pledge – a gift paid over the year (we will send quarterly reminders)
- Securities – donation of appreciated stock may provide the donor with added tax benefits
- Planned Gifts – annuities, charitable trusts, bequests, and other estate gifts to secure the continuation of services in the future.

Light of Hearts Villa, established in 1989, is co-sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Health System and provides independent and assisted living care in a spiritually enhanced setting. There are up to 90 seniors living at Light of Hearts Villa. In addition, outreach services connect with over 400 other seniors annually living in and around Bedford, Ohio, most of whom live near the poverty level, are alone and are homebound. Without these critical services, including benefit assessment, care coordination and transportation, they would have no one else to turn to.
